For all those who are not registered on the dance course from 25-28 May, we are offering the opportunity to dance to the music of Muriel Johnstone and Keith Smith in the evenings. Please complete the attached flyer and send back by e-mail or post, as described.
Musicians’ course
May 25 – 28, 2012
While we do have a waiting list for the dance course from 25 – 28 May, there are still places on the parallel musicians’ course that Muriel Johnstone and Keith Smith are giving on two half-mornings and an afternoon during the weekend. This is a unique opportunity for all musicians, including those who’ve been playing for a while, to benefit from the experience of two of the best Scottish dance musicians there are! MSA Weihnachtsfeier
Christmas party on Wednesday, 14 December 2011, 7.30pm
Place: Church hall of the Evangelischen Olympiakirche (as every Wednesday). There will be dancing and a break for something to eat and drink (not only mulled wine!). Please bring something small, sweet or savoury, for the buffet. We will again be collecting for a day centre for children with special needs. Perhaps we will even get a visit from Santa Claus… If you have any requests for dances on this evening, please mail them to the association’s address or tell us on the next two Wednesdays.
Burns Supper in Salzburg
On Saturday 21 January 7pm in Salzburg with social dance
Place: Antoniussaal, Kirchenstr. 34, A-5020 Salzburg. For those wishing to stay overnight, the hotel recommended is Hotel Guter Hirte, Salzburger-Schützen-Str. 7, A-5020 Salzburg. Both venue and hotel are within walking distance of Salzburg station. As we are not doing a Burns Supper ourselves this time, this is a great opportunity, especially as it comes with dancing too! 2nd Sunday Social
Sunday, 15 January 2012, 5.30 – 7.30pm
Place: Church hall of the Evangelischen Olympiakirche (as on Wednesdays). After our successful beginning on 6 November with challenging request dances, the motto this time will be dances in square sets and Scotland’s Social Dances. Please send your requests to Michael M. or give them to him during the Wednesday class.
St Andrew’s Dance
Saturday, 3 December 2011, 7pm to midnight
Place: Mohr-Villa, Situlistr. 75, 80939 München-Freimann, U6 Freimann.
Entrance: € 8, members and students € 5, at the door. Live music by Silke, Thomas, Steffi and Matthias. Please bring a contribution for the buffet and the raffle. Drinks are provided at cost.
